2025 "The Rosé"
Willamette Valley AVA • $19
I treat my rosé as seriously as I treat all my wines; it’s intentional, not an afterthought. I farm the grapes organically and pick for the sweet spot of robust acidity and “just-ripe” flavors. And so this field blend of 86% Pinot noir, 10% Gamay, and 4% Gewürztraminer is zesty and fun, and yet it’s creamier, more savory, and more substantial than your standard commercial rosé.
This is a totally dry rosé (zero sugar, like all my wines) that showcases fresh berries, cherries, a hint of melon, and slate minerality. It's succulent and uncommonly long on the palate for a rosé, thanks in part to its firm structure. You’ll enjoy this wine just as much in the winter as you do in the summer.
The Pinot is sourced from a block of 45 year old vines and a block of 18 year old vines. The Gamay and Gewürztraminer are sourced from 5 year old vines. Part of the wine aged in neutral oak barrels, the rest in stainless steel, and the finished wine completed malolactic conversion.
